300 Yards, Home Spun, 80/10/10, merino/yak/silk in Greens

This yarn was spun using worsted technique, which pushes air out of the fiber during spinning, creating a fiber with less air and more drape. Spun using S twist for singles and Z twist for plying which is ideal for knitting.  One strand is olive green the other is a gradation of blues and golds for blocked color work, or stripes, depending on project being knitted. It is worsted weight. 

Note: the sample cowl is worked using free Copilot pattern from Ravelry. I used a cast on of 200 and a size 7 needle. The pleasure of knitting with home spun is using simple patterns, because the yarn does the work.
